We all have our own ways of connecting, loving, and navigating relationships.
The Good Love Project Intimacy Styles are a tool for exploring some of the patterns that may shape how you experience closeness, connection, romance, and growth.
You might strongly identify with one style. You might see yourself in several. You may even notice that different styles show up at different times or in different relationships.
There are no “good” or “bad” styles—and no style you need to become.
Think of these as invitations to get curious about yourself.

You value flexibility, attunement, and the freedom to connect in many different ways.

Tender Hearts tend to love deeply. You may place a high value on emotional intimacy, loyalty, reassurance, and being there for the people you care about.
Sometimes your need for reassurance can feel overwhelming, or you may worry that you care more than others do.
Your invitation is to honor your desire for closeness while also learning ways to soothe and support yourself when fears arise.
Affirmation:
I am worthy of love and connection, just as I am.
Get curious:
What helps me feel most safe and secure in relationships?

Steady Anchors often feel most comfortable when relationships have a sense of consistency and reliability. You may show love through commitment, practical care, and being someone others can count on.
You may struggle with change, ambiguity, or partners who aren’t as steady as you are. Remember, it’s okay to ask for the clarity and consistency you need.
Your invitation is to remember that security and growth don't have to be opposites.
Affirmation:
I can create safety while still making room for change.
Get curious:
Where might I benefit from trying something new or taking a healthy risk?

Wild Spirits often bring curiosity and adventure into their relationships. You may thrive on novelty, spontaneity, and the freedom to discover what feels good and authentic to you.
Sometimes vulnerability can feel threatening, or you worry about losing your autonomy. It’s okay to let people in while still honoring your need for space.
Your invitation is to explore how freedom and commitment can coexist—and how staying present can be its own kind of adventure.
Affirmation:
I can be free and deeply connected at the same time.
Get curious:
What helps me feel both free and connected in a relationship?

Shapeshifters are often adaptable, intuitive, and attuned to others’ needs. You’re great at meeting people where they are.
Sometimes you may lose touch with your own needs or shape yourself to fit others.
Your invitation is to remember that you are allowed to take up space just as you are.
Affirmation:
My true self is worthy of love and belonging.
Get curious:
How can I stay connected to my own needs while caring for others?

Romantic Dreamers tend to seek deep, soulful, and emotionally meaningful connections. You may be drawn to passion, possibility, beauty, and the feeling that a relationship can transform you.
Sometimes reality doesn't match the dream, leaving you disappointed.
Your invitation is not to give up on your ideals, but to learn how to appreciate what is real, possible, and sustainable while still making room for a little magic.
Affirmation:
I deserve a love that is both magical and grounded.
Get curious:
What does real, sustainable love feel like to me?

The Growing Edge is a little different from the other styles. It describes a season of conscious growth: healing old wounds, questioning inherited ideas about relationships, and discovering what authentic, safe, and fulfilling connection means for you.
Growth can feel confusing, vulnerable, or tender—especially when you're learning something you've never been taught before.
Your invitation is to be gentle with yourself and celebrate progress rather than expecting yourself to have everything figured out.
Affirmation:
I am learning to love in a way that honors my truth.
Get curious:
What is one small way I can show myself love this week?

You might be a Tender Heart who also needs a lot of freedom. You might be a Romantic Dreamer who is learning to build more stability. You might be a Steady Anchor who is ready to shake things up.
And sometimes your results may show a blend of two or three styles.
That's not a glitch in the quiz. It's information.
A blended result can tell you something interesting about the different needs, desires, strengths, and growth edges you're bringing into your relationships.
Your intimacy style can also change over time. The way you connect at 25 may not be the way you connect at 45—and neither version is necessarily more “correct.”
The goal isn't to find the perfect box.
The goal is curiosity, self-understanding, and more intentional choices about how you love.
Your Intimacy Style can give you a new way to understand yourself—but knowing something about yourself is just the beginning.
If your results brought up questions, “aha!” moments, or things you'd like to explore, let's talk about it.
